Notice, Pattern, Contrast, Feeling

S-Town podcast uses a pattern with the dialogue to narration ratio and structure. There is an interesting contrast between the accent and rural location John identifies with and his intelligence and interests. This contrast makes him a unique and not yet fully understood character. He discusses his feelings about the town and everything that’s been going on and the readers feel for him as he labels himself as a lonely outsider. It’s clear to notice the distinct location that this story takes place, and that something unlawful is going on.
